All too often youg and inexperienced drivers point their arial at the car, some may think that the signal comes out the end like a gun barrel but the best signal is gained from holding the arial as upright as possible.
You can also get interferrance from metal objects around you, like the uprights of the rostrum, try standing in a different spot the next tiem you go up there.

If that is definitely the case then I would be looking at the failsafe, if you've still got steering and only the throttle is affected - next time you're down and (not racing) try a few laps with the f/s disconnected..

i wouldve done that on thursday, but err..... you saw......err.... what condition my car was in..... or did you

Trouble also is, id rather have a failsafe in and have my car cut out for 2-3 seconds than have my signal interfeered with and have my car shoot off into the feild next door.

The failsafe used to work fine in matts car, so i dont see why it shouldnt do with mine?!

like everything in this world young man, nothing lasts forever. a wire may have fractured, a plug been strained, a component vibrated to the point of destruction - I wasn't suggesting that you remove it for good, just to eliminate it as a source of a problem or discovering that it is the problem - that way it can be rectified. "Elementary my dear Watson!"

Matt put in a hyper 7 tramsmitter and reciver, it worked a little better, i didnt get the problems with the signal from a distance but when i was right next to the car the signal would be still abit dodgey.

intresting point, but i dont want to jeopardize the work that matt has already done for me, ill leave it now, untill thursday maybe. At least the weather looks to be ok for tuesday, although my fuel is running dangerously thin.
