sounds like a plan Smog

I think if we can split into teams to get the main jobs done...

One team to finish stretching and pining the remaining astro.

One team to complete cutting the shuttering.

One team to finish the pit ramp. (Smog)

One team to follow behind the shuttering to screw the flexi hose into place.

I think that might be a good plan???

Well, an interesting night.

Due to the inclement weather we didn't get as much done as we'd hoped - but we are that bit closer.
The rain this evening proved that the work done so far, raising the track and astro-turfing was the right way to go. The infields and carpark area still leave a great deal to be desired, but Rome wasn't built in a day!

We had a few buggies whizzing round and have identified a few errors in design or construction and these will be rectified in due course -
As regards grip, there's loads!! I think that those that drove might agree that a small pin or block design is the way forward in tyre choice. Hobao angle spikes that were found good indoors at Laughton gave far too much grip on astro, the technique of removing the outer row of spikes may be wise to prevent grip rolling for those that have a limited choice.

If there's anyone thinking of going down at the weekend for work purposes please let us know, there are specific items that need addressing as well as a general clear-up. There are quite a few that are unavailable due to work and family commitments so numbers might be low this weekend.

If anyone does go down, please remember that only fully paid-up and insured members of A1racing are supposed to have free access, all others are supposed to pay £3.00 - please make a note of mine or Chris's telephone numbers in the member's only section and ring if you've any queries about anyone that's on the track -

Thanks to all those that attended Tuesday evening and got drenched, it'll all be worth it in the end.
