Carbon fibre shields for the rear axles/drive train - I spent a large portion of last night removing crud rom the drive shafts
Set up the camber and toe in-out properly.
Change my shock springs from cream ones to blue ones (stiffer)

Paint new shell (to be done when I get time :))

I noticed you were conspicious by your absence Mark - I even made sure my spare battery pack was charged for you!
Turn -out was average, always room for more....

Young James was going plenty fast enough with his new Picco engine - couldn't help noticing that stopping was your problem!
Adjust that back brake linkage and you should make a few more corners - or just slow down sooner!

Smog's new Trug' was impressively clean - for a while! goes well too, bet your finding it's more fun racing than just marshalling as you've been for the last couple of months eh?

The new chap with the Hyper 8.5 is obviously a bit of a dark horse, he did admit he used to race electric but he was giving Iain a run for his money - it was becoming a bit of a 'longest jump' comp in heat 2!

Things are getting really interesting now, all the newer racers are getting it all together and making it close racing.

Roll on next week!

Standard St-rr diff oils - 3000 - 10000 - 7000 (i think ) and 80 rear, 40 front.

Fitted the blue springs last night and made the template for the CF cutting.

Carl,

Whilst marshalling your heat I couldn't help notice how your buggy (green/black H7?) was cornering - I reckon you've got yours set up like mine was - lower your suspension and then invest in some angle spike tyres (or borrow some next week) - mine now goes round corners really well having done that.

(Smog will NEVER keep up with you in the corners then - these truggy boys, they just 'bully' their way through the pack, we'll show'em!)

Mark,
As much as I dislike work, it's what allows me to enjoy hobbies and holidays, so it has to take precedence - dammit!

When I said we were getting better - I didn't mean by a vast amount, you'll catch up soon enough.....

Yeh i think my brakes have always been like that phil im just used to letting of the acceleration as im going into corners and as for the speed of the night i kept forgetting that i was running the engine in and getting a bit competitive, Anyway it was good night despite the minor technical difficulties at the start

You are so right, in the first race he just kept driving over me!?!?

I broke a C-Hub in the first race and had it set up wrong in the second race so it wouldn't corner. I have just fitted some big bore shocks and have some angle spikes ready to try next week, they were rubbish with soft shocks. It's a slow process learning to get the car setup and how to drive it properly but having said that I'm really enjoying it.

I would recommend lowering the rear shock oil from 80...you should go heavier in the front not the rear

Hmmmm - Strange - All the Kyosho driver set up sheets I have looked at for the ST-RR all reccomend a higher weight in the rear in respects to the front no matter what type of track they where on??

Just had a look at my setup sheet from when I built the truggy and just to confirm, wasn't sure earlier because I was at work, I have 7000 in the front Diff, 10,000 in the middle and 3000 in the rear.

Also, my shock Oil is by CML R and the weights are 60 rear and 45 front and not what I put earlier. They where from my terrible memory
