Must say I had a bloody good time last Tuesday, with my free drive.
Must say a big thanks to Lewis for "insisting" I drive his new truggy. I couldn't get it to go round the corners and kept running into people, (really must stand on something next week it it will aid the knackered eyes).
But it was damn good to have a race again. I reckon that must be the firat time in six months...
So no excuses the buggy will be re-built this weekend, and asuming it runs and doesn't need anything else it WILL be down to play on Tuesday. |

Don't i bloody well know it ............. still limping after you running into my foot at full bore at the start/finish line!! There I was trying to unwrap the induction loop from around a Hyper 7 (shan't mention the fact he was revving it like hell while i was trying to unwind the cable from round the drive shafts) and WALLOP ya got me
Good to know its not just me thats not exactly a pro driver
I am picking up a new toy tomorrow to race with which will be a bit different from the other machines in use. I really haven't got on with the Hyper 7 and much prefer the bigger Truggy's. Just need to learn to drive now.
Best to never get inbetween Carl and Jim when they are baiting each other ........... its not pretty seeing such ugly grown men cry!
Jim ............ posting at 5:40am ........... I take it you had a lay in then? |

Sorry about having to keep revving the hell out of it Nick, but the beast has a tendency of stopping, (it ticks over like a pig). Plus the state of your fingers were the least of my worries . Surprisingly i still won that race(mind you chris's truggy being impaled on your foot probably helped).
Nice to hear that everyone enjoyed the track layout this week. Phil

Now Phil, that's a NO-NO. when you're being marshalled you should close the throttle and apply brake. Winning is not worth injuries to marshalls! Heaven knows they're in short supply as it is! If it was me marshalling you'd have been left tangled.
Nick, what you doing going over to the dark side?..... A Truggy?
You know what it's like in small clubs like ours? where sneaky members try to get the drop on the others..... It seems that there are one or two here that are changing gear ratios for a bit more acceleration out of corners...and they're the ones that like tight tracks......uummm! cat's out the bag boys, next week it'll be wide, open, long straights oval racing! |

Seems fine but I have only really tried it, last Tuesday night, with the standard light green springs and I found those a little soft hence me changing over too Blues. I will give it a go this coming Tuesday with the new blues and see how it goes but maybe need a little more pull on the front end as the back end was very slippery, too much Ooomph. Will be trying different tyre combo's firstly though before I go changing diff oils! |

Well, a little one. We are on 8hr days now so I now go in for 06:30 instead of 05:30 and now leave at 15:00hrs.
EDIT - Why do I always get three emails telling me when someone has posted on this thread and not just the one? |

My 1st foray into the Nitro game was my Nitrgae which i love but doesn't do the tight corners of the track very well ....... er ok it doesn't do them at all! Must say I haven't got on with that Hyper 7 since the day I bought it and wish I hadn't. So, I had a jaunt over to Hull today and picked up a bargain Losi Muggy to race with. Its lovely and big and looks pretty bullet proof.
Joe ............ I think I'll have a ritual burning of my Hyper 7. If i had access to explosives I'd blow the thing up!! Failing that I'll sell it along with all the spares I have for it. |
