I find a 12T bell (standard hyper 7 bell is 13tooth) seems to work well at Folkingham, even when the track is more open (been using one since before christmas). Of course there is a compromise, and that is that the car is a bit more tail happy when the power is initially apllied.

Newbie mistake there phil. Full brake when being marshalled

It's actually smaller than the ST-RR in chassis length - it's just got massive wheel/tyre combo's on it!
He does have a set of standard ones though |

It may lack an inch in length on Jims but mine makes up for it in girth as its a few inches wider! Hmmmmm wonder if it would run on water?!?!
I've done a few mods on it and serviced it, but, having electrical issues now. My Acoms 2.4Ghz receiver seems to have packed up and the spare 27mhz rx and tx I have isn't working properly.
Hope to at least get it started tomorrow.
Anyone want a Hyper 7??????? |

Hi Nick, my dad Steve may be interested in your Hyper, but he's a bit of a tight git - how much do you want? (assume its still running, not seen it for a little while).

I've been musing over something since last week and wondered what other people though of the idea - Would there be a problem with setting up the course so that the 'rostrum' are was the other side of the arena? This way it would only be a short hop to get in place for racing and racers are not walking all over the track to get into place?
Just a though

Well it just goes to show that you're not as green as you're cabbage looking Smog - the rostrum idea made perfect sense. Just embarassed to admit I'd not thought of it....but in my defence, we were supposed to be up in the stands.
But: for those that set up next week - you'll have to put the track further away from where we stand so we can all see the corners on the side we stand on clearly without looking round the guy next to you.
Good night though wasn't it - more new faces and more H7s!! |

It was a good track last night and a great atmosphere with a few more people.
My only gripe is that I had to leave just after 9 to get Joe back to his dads and we only got 2 races..... I got there at 6.40 and left at 9.10 and there had only been 30 mins of racing, can we start racing at 7 and only have a 10-15 min break so we get more track time? |

| Would agree with that Sir Harvo, we need to ge the first heat on the line at 7pm... Especially now we are getting more and more drivers. Didn't help that I was late leaving work again. |
