Having watched a bit of the video I made whilst you raced my buggy - your admission that you used to race a 1/8th circuit car actually shows - it seems we might have a 'dark horse' amongst us. To be fair, you did really well considering that my buggy is suffering at the hands of it's mechanic (ME) and the brake / throttle linkage was all to c**k!

Just remember with your buggy choice, it's not all about huge expense and blingy bits - more important would be that it's reliable, availablity and cost of spares also being a major factor as you WILL break it. Advice here is always free and freely given.

I have taken your advice and my Hyper 7 is due to arrive later this week.

I will be there on Tuesday and have at least one friend interested in joining, along with 2 of my children...

Well done that man!

You'll not be disappointed with a 7, if you're not up and running Tuesday then you can always have another go with mine - the brakes have been done (I think), but not got round to muck shields as yet....

2 of your children, it's could work out to be a really expensive hobby for you then !

Hi all, sorry i couldnt stay for long last Tuesday. Had a good couple of races but i think i am a bit rusty, not sure when i will be able to come again because our baby is due in two weeks time so need to stay close to home!
You cant go far wrong with the Hyper 7 Sir Harvo but if you are getting the RTR version the steering servo is as weak as a kitten and they dont usualy last long. Other than that a great buggy, one of the best for the money in my opinion.
If i can i will try to pop in for a chip butty soon.

Ahhh! fresh blood!

had to amend this - just realised it followed Ian's posting about the new baby...I was commenting on Coupe-se.

Despite the fact I have oriental connections, I would like to make it clear, at this juncture, that although I WILL eat most things, I draw the line at human flesh....

I would also like to wish Ian and his good lady wife all the best with their forthcoming family addition - even though it screws up your hobby time!

I've given Vicky (the wife) strict orders not to stay at work til 7pm tonight and get home asap so i can nab the car and come take a look at you all. I'll bring my Truggy but not sure it has the turning circle for track.

Looks like you did ok (AGAIN) on your Truck purchase with all those spares!!!

If your truggy is a standard 1/8th scale then yes it has a suitable turning circle....stop making excuses, bring it down and see how good you are....

Its a Nitrage with a turning circle of a Super Tanker!

Its incredibly strong and superb for bashing in open area's where i can dial in some oversteer to assist things, but tight track turns are just about impossible.

I'll take a look tonight and if I like what I see I'll get something more suitable for the track.

Ahh! yes a Nitrage - I considered one after buying the earlier TNX, you might struggle ....but bring it anyway and see. You might have to slow down for the tight turns.

Had a look at your purchase Sir Harvo, looks a good deal, hope you won't need all the spares but it's nice to have them!

Many thanks to Grasshopper and all for making my 1st visit to a club/race meet so enjoyable!

Must say i was pretty gobsmacked at the reactions and car control you guys show, lap after lap. Guess it takes time to properly guage the distance your Buggy is from the turn when you are standing so far away from it.

Told ya the Nitrage didn't have a good turning circle. The wife has curtailed my budget regarding getting a more suitable buggy, so will be denting the credit card with a smaller purchase than I really wanted.

Hoping to bring along some more new blood next week, hopefully one person .... maybe 2.

Have heard it said that it's possible to modify the steering parts on the Nitrage to reduce the turning circle....
But you did really well considering your initial fear...not as bad as you thought eh?

Sorry that Sir Harvo and his son didn't get a drive - just couldn't get mine running....rhymes with ollox!
Bring as many as you want next week - the more the merrier!
